1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing VoltCade (voltcade.com) you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. VoltCade is a free, browser-based arcade and we want every player to have a fair, fun experience — these rules exist to protect that.

2. Who Can Play

VoltCade is open to players of all ages. No account, sign-up, or personal information is required. The only data you actively submit is a three-letter set of initials when posting a high score, and that submission is entirely optional.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit scores generated by automation, scripts, modified clients, or any tool that bypasses the in-game session
• Tamper with score-submission endpoints, replay tokens, or session signatures
• Reverse-engineer the anti-cheat system or attempt to forge leaderboard entries
• Submit initials that are obscene, hateful, or impersonate another player or VoltCade staff
• Scrape the site at a rate that degrades service for other players
• Use VoltCade content (game code, art, audio) in another product without written permission

Scores or initials that violate these rules may be removed without notice. Repeat violators may be rate-limited or blocked.

4. Leaderboards and Scores

Scores submitted to VoltCade leaderboards are public. They show the initials you provide, the score, the game, and the submission timestamp. We don't attach real names, IP addresses, or device identifiers to public leaderboard entries.

Each game enforces a minimum session length and a maximum possible score. Submissions outside those bounds are automatically rejected. Score validation may also include replay-token checks and behavioral signals — we don't disclose the full validator stack to keep cheating harder.

5. Intellectual Property

All VoltCade games, artwork, code, and platform features are the intellectual property of their creators. You may play the games freely on voltcade.com and share links to scores, but you may not redistribute, mirror, or rehost the games without permission.

The platform is built with open-source libraries — credit and licenses for those libraries are preserved in the source code.

6. Availability and Changes

VoltCade is provided as-is. We work hard to keep the site online and the games working, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service, bug-free games, or preservation of leaderboard data indefinitely. Games may be added, updated, removed, or re-balanced over time.

7. Advertising

VoltCade may display advertisements through Google AdSense or similar networks to help cover hosting costs. We do not control individual ads served by third-party networks. If you see an ad that violates AdSense policies, please report it via the contact page.

8. Disclaimer of Warranty

VoltCade and all included games are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about fitness for a particular purpose, uptime, or freedom from errors. Play at your own enjoyment.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VoltCade and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or inability to access it.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally as the platform evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of VoltCade after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
